The agreement between you and Tunndu.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Tunndu mobile application and related services (“Tunndu” or the “App”).
Tunndu is operated by:
In these Terms, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Emmanuel Echa as the operator of Tunndu.
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
Our Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data. Agreement to these Terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to processing where separate consent is required.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights you have under applicable mandatory law.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Tunndu account.
To register, you must provide the required information, including your name, email address and password. You must verify your email address before signing in.
You agree to:
If someone uses your account without authorisation, your responsibility will depend on the circumstances and applicable law. You are not automatically responsible merely because activity occurred through your account.
Tunndu helps you record and organise references to personal accounts, insurance policies, assets and arrangements, maintain contact information, and make your recorded legacy profile available to designated trusted contacts.
Depending on the features available to you, Tunndu also provides:
Tunndu is an organisational and information-sharing tool. It does not:
A designation or sharing instruction in Tunndu does not, by itself, give someone legal authority over your property or financial accounts.
You choose which information to record and are responsible for keeping it accurate and up to date.
Tunndu is designed to store account and asset references, such as institution names, account-holder names, account types, asset descriptions and insurance references. Structured account, policy and reference-number fields accept only the last four digits where supported.
Do not enter:
Provide information about another person only where you are entitled to do so, and limit it to what is needed for the relevant feature.
Tunndu does not verify the accuracy, completeness, ownership or legal effect of the information you record.
You choose whom to designate as a trusted or legacy contact.
Before adding a contact’s information and authorising sharing, you must obtain their agreement to being designated. The App records your confirmation; this is not confirmation that Tunndu has independently obtained consent from that person.
You are responsible for checking that you have selected the intended recipient and for explaining what designation and access involve.
Designating someone as a contact does not, by itself, grant them access or make them a legal beneficiary.
Sharing is not configurable by category. Each authorised contact can view the information included in your recorded shared legacy profile.
You should review the information included in the shared profile before providing access. Information you have not recorded is not included.
Access is authorised separately for each contact.
After confirming the contact’s agreement, you generate a six-digit sharing code and provide it to the intended recipient yourself. The recipient redeems the code through the App.
Treat sharing codes as confidential. Do not publish them or send them to unintended recipients.
Code redemption is rate-limited to protect against repeated guessing. You cannot redeem your own sharing code.
Death, inactivity or another event does not automatically grant access to your profile.
You can revoke future access through the App’s Share section by removing the contact or switching off their authorisation setting.
This invalidates their sharing code and prevents further retrieval of your shared profile through the App.
Revocation does not remove information the recipient has already independently retained, such as screenshots or other copies.
If you access a profile shared with you:
Recipient access is subject to the subscription and access conditions below.
You do not need a subscription to use the core App to record and manage your references.
Legacy-profile sharing is a Pro feature. Where subscriptions are offered, the purchase screen identifies the paid features, price, billing period and applicable subscription conditions before you purchase.
A description of a paid feature does not mean it is available on every platform or in every country.
Where available, subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device and the purchase option presented.
The purchase screen and relevant store terms identify the applicable billing arrangements and contracting parties.
Tunndu does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Any automatic renewal, renewal price and cancellation conditions will be disclosed before purchase.
You can manage or cancel a store subscription through the subscription controls provided by the relevant app store.
Unless the purchase terms or applicable law provide otherwise, cancelling automatic renewal prevents the next renewal and does not immediately end the period already paid for.
Deleting the App or your Tunndu account does not necessarily cancel a store subscription. Manage the subscription separately through the store.
Nothing in this section limits statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund or other consumer rights.
Recipient access remains available while the account holder’s subscription is active and for a 30-day grace period after it ends.
After the grace period, recipient access is paused until the subscription is renewed. Access resumes on renewal, subject to the account holder’s current sharing authorisations.
Subscription expiry and the end of the grace period do not, by themselves, delete the account or recorded information.
The account holder’s core record-management features remain available without a subscription.
Use the purchase-restoration option where available to restore an eligible existing purchase. If a purchase or entitlement is not recognised, contact support@tunndu.com.
We may need relevant transaction information to investigate. Do not send full payment-card details or store-account passwords.
Refund requests may be handled through the relevant app store or the contracting party identified at purchase. You may also contact us for assistance.
Store procedures do not remove mandatory rights against the party legally responsible for the purchase.
Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal, the applicable instructions will be provided before purchase. We do not treat use of the App alone as a waiver of that right. Any request to begin performance during a withdrawal period, and any acknowledgement required by law, must be obtained separately where applicable.
Tunndu uses recorded App activity to determine when to send inactivity check-ins and contact alerts.
The feature sends:
The activity record is updated when the account holder opens the App or interacts with a reminder.
An inactivity alert encourages a contact to check on the account holder. It does not establish that the account holder has died, become incapacitated or experienced an emergency.
The inactivity feature does not:
Tunndu is not an emergency-response service. Do not rely on inactivity alerts as the sole method of checking someone’s safety.
You can manage the notification preferences available in the App. Push notifications also depend on device permissions and the relevant delivery services.
Delivery may be affected by device settings, connectivity, operating-system restrictions and service interruptions. A notification’s absence does not establish that no relevant event has occurred.
The Privacy Notice explains how notification tokens, preferences and notification content are processed.
Your device performs biometric verification. Tunndu does not receive or store your fingerprint or facial template.
To support biometric sign-in, the App stores a preference flag, your account identifier and a session token in device secure storage. Session authentication information is used with our authentication provider to restore and maintain your session.
You can disable biometric sign-in in the App. This removes the locally stored information used specifically for that feature.
Protect access to your device and review which biometric credentials are enrolled on it.
We maintain technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks associated with the service. These include encryption in transit, infrastructure-level encryption at rest, authentication controls, database access restrictions and checks governing authorised sharing.
Tunndu does not provide end-to-end encryption. Authorised processing by Tunndu and its service providers remains possible.
No electronic service can guarantee absolute security. This does not affect our legal obligations to protect personal data or provide a conforming service.
Our Privacy Notice explains:
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@tunndu.com. You do not need an active account.
You must not:
Nothing in these Terms restricts rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
You retain any ownership and other rights you hold in the information you provide.
You authorise us to host, store, process and display that information only as needed to provide the service, carry out your sharing instructions and fulfil applicable legal obligations.
This authorisation does not transfer ownership of your content to us or permit its use for advertising.
The App’s software, design, branding and other materials are protected by intellectual-property rights held by us or our licensors. Your right to use the App does not transfer those rights to you.
We maintain and update the App, including to address security issues, technical faults, legal requirements and compatibility with supported devices and services.
Install updates reasonably required for security and continued operation. We will provide information about necessary updates as required by law.
For a continuously supplied digital service, changes beyond those necessary to maintain conformity will be made only where legally permitted. Valid reasons may include:
Such changes will not impose additional charges under this clause. We will explain relevant changes clearly.
Where a change adversely affects access or use beyond a minor degree, we will provide advance information on a durable medium, such as email, and explain applicable termination rights. Where §327r BGB applies, you may terminate without charge within the statutory 30-day period, subject to its conditions and exceptions.
This section does not give us an unrestricted right to remove agreed core functionality, raise prices or change these Terms.
We may restrict a particular feature or suspend access where reasonably necessary to:
We will use measures proportionate to the issue and, where reasonably possible, explain the reason and provide an opportunity to remedy the breach before termination.
Immediate action may be necessary where continued access creates a significant risk, a breach cannot reasonably be remedied, or notice is legally prohibited.
We may terminate the contractual relationship for a material breach that remains unresolved after an appropriate warning or opportunity to remedy, or for another legally sufficient important reason.
These provisions do not restrict statutory refund, termination or other consumer rights.
You can delete your account from the App’s Profile screen.
Account deletion removes your authentication account and associated application records through the account-deletion process. It does not immediately remove information held separately in backups, diagnostic systems, purchase platforms or support correspondence.
When you remove an individual recorded item or trusted contact without deleting your account, the record is initially soft-deleted. Removed content is excluded from shared-profile retrieval, and removing a contact revokes their access. Soft-deleted records are permanently removed from the live database after 30 days through the scheduled daily cleanup process.
Further details, including backup retention, separately retained records and legal-retention exceptions, are set out in the Privacy Notice.
Deletion does not remove copies independently retained by recipients.
Before deleting your account, retain any information you need and separately manage any active store subscription.
You retain all mandatory rights concerning digital products and services, including applicable rights where a service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract.
We are liable without limitation:
For ordinary negligence affecting an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. An essential obligation is one whose performance makes proper provision of the service possible and on whose fulfilment you can ordinarily rely.
For other ordinary negligence, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
These limitations also apply, where legally permissible, to persons acting on our behalf. They do not restrict remedies, compensation rights or liabilities that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
We are not responsible merely because a recipient misuses information you authorised them to receive. This does not exclude responsibility for our own breach of duty or any mandatory liability.
We may propose changes to these Terms where needed to address changes in law, the service or our contractual arrangements.
We will provide the proposed changes and their intended effective date in advance where required. Where your agreement is necessary, we will request it.
Your silence or continued use of the App will not, by itself, be treated as agreement to a material contractual change.
Changes that can lawfully take effect without agreement will be limited to what applicable law permits and will be communicated appropriately.
Changes to the digital service itself are also subject to Section 13.
These Terms are governed by German law.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections applicable under the law that would otherwise govern your contract.
You may bring proceedings before any court available to you under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms requires compulsory arbitration or restricts mandatory consumer jurisdiction rights.
You may contact us first to try to resolve a problem, but doing so is not a prerequisite to exercising your legal rights.
